Travis D. Wells, P.E., ESQ., C.F.E.I., is a Regional Engineering Manager and Forensic Engineer with Haag Engineering Co., and has been with Haag since 2013. Mr. Wells areas of consulting include mechanical inspections, fire O&C, and accident investigations, including slip and fall cases. Mr. Wells earned a Doctorate of Jurisprudence, a Master of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University. His previous experience includes working as an engineering and technical consultant, a litigation consultant, and a project manager. He worked at Texas Tech’s Materials Performance and Failure Analysis Lab, testing wind turbines, flooring safety, hail-impact damage, and mechanics of head injuries. He developed a new course at Texas Tech called “Introduction to Legal Aspects of Forensic Science and Engineering”. Mr. Wells is licensed with the State Bar of Texas and is a NAFI Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator. He currently serves as co-director of engineer training and development.
