Ammar AL-Salami, P.E., is a Forensic Engineer with Haag Engineering Co., based in Flower
Mound, Texas. Mr. AL-Salami has 13 years of experience providing project management
and engineering services. His experience includes designing and reviewing stick/truss
framing plans, shear wall plans, and floor system plans for residential and multi-family
projects. Mr. AL-Salami has experience analyzing and verifying the wind, seismic and
service-load resistance of steel mounts. Additionally, he designed formwork systems to
support concrete structural projects. He assisted with constructing tilt-wall projects by
drafting concrete wall panels and designing rigging points to lift and probe the concrete
walls during the construction phase. He also consulted and troubleshot field issues for
residential and commercial projects.
Mr. AL-Salami earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from The National
University of Malaysia, U.K.M, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering,
from University of Al-Mustansiriya. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon,
Texas, and Washington. He is experienced with many codes and standards and is
skilled with AutoCAD 2D &3D, PeriCad, Navision, LUSAS 14.0, SAP 2000, 1 2 3 Design,
ENERCALC, Notepad, MS Office, Risa 3D, and Forte. Mr. AL-Salami is bilingual, he speaks
and understands English and Arabic
