Ford Motor Company: Engine Block Heater

Engine block heater may short circuit and cause fire. An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Lincoln MKC, 2016-2023 Explorer, 2019-2020 Fusion, 2019-2024 Ranger, 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair, Escape, 2021-2024 Bronco, Bronco Sport, and 2022-2024 Maverick vehicles. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.

Remedy: Owners are advised not to plug in their block heater until the vehicle is remedied. Dealers will replace the block heater, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 24, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated February 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 25SA4. Summary: BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2019-2021 BMW 330i, 2019-2022 BMW Z4, 2020-2022 BMW 530i, X3, X4, Toyota Supra, 2021-2022 BMW 430i, 430i Convertible, and 2022 BMW 230i vehicles. The engine starter relay may corrode, causing the relay to overheat and short circuit.

Remedy: Owners are advised to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the remedy is complete. Dealers will replace the engine starter, free of charge. Interim notification letters informing owners of the safety risk are scheduled to be mailed November 14, 2025. Owners will receive a second notice as remedy parts become available. Volkswagen: Audi Fuel Pump

High Pressure Fuel Pump May Leak and Cause a Fire. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Summary: Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling one Audi SQ7 vehicles. The fasteners securing the high pressure fuel pump may not be tightened properly, resulting in a fuel leak.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the screw connections and replace the high pressure fuel pump and fuel lines as necessary, free of charge. The one affected vehicle was repaired. Radio and speakers may overheat and cause a fire. Overheated radio and speakers increase the risk of a fire.

Summary: Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain 2023 PL500, 2023-2024 PL700, 2023-2025 RM500, RM900, ST450, 2024-2025 PL550, PL750, 2024 PR300, 2025 RM450, RM550, and RM800. A software error may cause the radio and speakers to overheat.

Remedy: ATC will work with Maxxsonics to mail instructions and a USB with a software update. All speakers will be inspected and replaced as necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 9, 2025. Owners may call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440 ext. 342.

General Motors Corvette: Radiator/Fan

August 2025

Fire risk when refueling. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary: General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023–2026 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles equipped with a left-side radiator/fan combination. Excess fuel may spill into the vehicle fuel-filler pocket during refueling and leak onto an ignition source.

Remedy: Dealers will install a shield to divert spilled fuel, free of charge. Owner letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed October 6, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020

Forest River: Fuel Line Extension

Summary: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Sunseeker, Solera, Forester, Freelander, Leprechaun, and East to West Entrada motorhomes. The fuel line extension connectors may have inconsistent crimps, allowing the fuel line to detach.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 3, 2025. Entrada owners may contact customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forester, Solera, and Sunseeker owners may contact customer service at 1-574-206-7600. Leprechaun and Freelander owners may contact customer service at 1-574-825-8602. Forest River’s number for this recall is 51-1955.
