Haag’s New Research Lab– accepting assignments now

Haag’s accredited Research & Testing lab has relocated, and is now open and fully operational!

Haag’s lab and offices moved to an expanded facility just north of DFW Airport, with more than 6500 sq. ft. of dedicated testing space! We are open and booking testing projects NOW – ready to assist you in any way we can.

For DECADES, the industry has relied on Haag Research & Testing’s peer-reviewed protocols and standards. Trust Haag’s experts with your testing projects.

We are an IAS Accredited Lab, TL-656, ISO 17025:2005, a Miami-Dade approved (TAS301-94) and a Texas Department of Insurance Recognized Laboratory (full list of approved testing methods).

Capabilities:
  • Roofing sample analysis-Desaturation and extraction of reinforcements from built-up roofing, mod-bit membranes, and comp shingles
    • Backlighting single-ply membranes with high intensity light
    • Water column leak testing
    • Typical microscopy
    • Fluorescent microscopy to identify mod-bit
  • Impacting-
    • Ice balls from 1/2″ to 4″Steel balls from 1″ to 3″
  • Debris impacting-
    • Steel balls 5/16″ (small missiles)
    • 2 x 4s to 9′ (large missiles)
    • Rocks
  • Wind simulator to 170 mph (all steep slope roofing)
  • Pressure chamber to 250 psf (fenestration, man-doors, overhead doors, etc.) and water spray to 8 in/hr
  • Tensile testing to 1,500 lbs (NEW lab equipment!)
  • Gravimetric moisture contentsOn site-
    • Water spray to 8 in/hr
    • Infrared thermography
    • Fastener pull testing 2,000 and 4,000 lbs
