Mike Oskey, PE, is a Forensic Engineer with Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. A licensed professional engineer in 19 states and a licensed structural engineer in Georgia, Mr. Oskey brings 24 years of experience in civil design, construction engineering and management, and forensic engineering.
His forensic expertise includes conducting objective failure analyses of structures and roof coverings. He has performed damage assessments related to hail, wind, flooding, hurricanes, earthquakes, impact events, structural failures, foundation settlement, and water intrusion.
Prior to his forensic work, Mr. Oskey served as a project engineer, where he managed project contracts, prepared submittals and reports, wrote RFIs, and performed quantity take-offs. As a field engineer, he collaborated with design teams to identify existing utility conflicts, conducted constructability reviews of utility relocation packages to minimize project impact, and coordinated efforts with utility companies and municipal personnel.
