GET TO KNOW Marcie L. Deffenbaugh

Marcie Deffenbaugh is the Manager of GIS Services with Haag, a Salas O’Brien
Company. In this role, Ms. Deffenbaugh oversees initiatives related to GIS
planning, system design, and system administration. She also manages a
staff of GIS professionals who deliver data validation and project management
services for clients. As the primary liaison between the client management teams
and Haag Technical Services personnel, Ms. Deffenbaugh provides technical
consulting services on a regular basis.

Ms. Deffenbaugh has extensive experience in the integration and normalization
of geospatial data for a variety of project types. She has worked with GIS experts
from several fields in the development of industry-specific standards and
methodology for field data collection and geospatial data submissions, including
data management and conflict resolution. Ms. Deffenbaugh is also experienced
in GIS implementation and project management for a wide range of industries
including transportation, governmental and non-governmental organizations,
and non-profit entities.

Ms. Deffenbaugh is an experienced GIS developer and actively maintains
all facets of the Haag Geoportal, a web mapping application used for data
visualization of project information such as GIS data, 3D scans, drone imagery,
spherical photography, and more. She is qualified in numerous computer
applications including a variety of Esri products (ArcGIS desktop, ArcGIS Pro,
ArcGIS online, model builder, data reviewer, spatial analyst, 3D analyst) and
scripting programs related to GIS (Python, FME). Ms. Deffenbaugh also has broad
experience in database design and development using SQL Server, VB.Net/Visual
Basic/VBA, and Microsoft Access. Additionally, Ms. Deffenbaugh is experienced
in frontend and backend web development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ArcGIS
Maps SDK for JavaScript, and React JS library.
