Marc Camacho is a Forensic Engineer with Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company, based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He brings over 21 years of experience in both design and forensic engineering.
Mr. Camacho’s forensic expertise includes the evaluation of commercial, industrial, and residential foundations, roofing systems, structural systems, building envelopes, interior and exterior finishes, and various structural and civil components for distress related to fire, flood, tree/vehicle impact, windstorms, and seismic events. His work also encompasses landscape and retaining walls, marine structures, and construction projects, where he identifies potential damage, deficiencies, and failure causes.
Before transitioning to forensic engineering, Mr. Camacho contributed to the design and project management of superstructures, braced and moment frames, shear and retaining walls, slabs and plates, and building foundations. Notable projects include the Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas and Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, South Carolina.
Mr. Camacho is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and Georgia and holds the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credential. He earned a Master of Civil Engineering from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of the West Indies.
