Jon Bergren is a Forensic Engineer with Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company, based in Des Moines, Iowa. He brings over 10 years of engineering experience. As a forensic engineer, Mr. Bergren evaluates roofing systems, structural systems, building envelopes, interior and exterior finishes, and various structural and civil components for distress related to fire, flood, tree/vehicle impact, windstorms, and weather events.
Mr. Bergren’s design experience includes managing complex building projects across steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems with construction budgets up to $125 million. He has demonstrated leadership in team management, client relations, and multidisciplinary coordination. His expertise includes storm shelter design, BIM360, remote collaboration, and project delivery across geographically distributed teams.
Mr. Bergren is a licensed Professional Engineer in four states. He earned a Master of Architectural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from from the University of Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Colorado Christian University. Mr. Bergren is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineering Institute, and Structural Engineering Association of Iowa.
