Devin Kumar is a Forensic Engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia, with expertise in cause and origin investigations of structural failures in both commercial and residential properties. Mr. Kumar performs detailed roofing system evaluations and develops expert reports presenting clear, evidence-based findings and conclusions.
Mr. Kumar previously served as a graduate research assistant at Georgia Tech for four years, where he focused on the study of alkali-silica reaction (ASR) in concrete. His research involved the creation of large-scale laboratory specimens designed to simulate ASR-induced damage, exploring both material-level and structural-level repair strategies, as well as methods for field repair of ASR-affected concrete. In addition, he was a teaching assistant for Civil Engineering Materials laboratory courses, where he supervised testing of construction materials such as steel, concrete, polymers, and timber.
