Building on his communication skills as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Steel, Timber, and Reinforced Concrete Structures courses, and his own personal experience working in the masonry construction trade, he breaks down complex architectural, engineering, and construction issues into simple, easy to understand concepts.
Recognized by the National Council of Architecture Review Boards, the American Institute of Architects, U.S. Green Building Council, and Excel Tribometers, Mr. DeSantis is a Registered Architect in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Florida, Alabama, Indiana, Connecticut, Vermont, and Texas. He possesses specialized experience in architectural design, construction, structural remediation, drone piloting, and waterproofing, frequently consulting on large-scale and complex matters involving multiple types of investigational sciences. Mr. DeSantis investigates premises liability incidents and accidents in both the public and private sectors. He also possesses specialized training and certification in slip-resistance testing, walkway and footwear safety, the scientific and mechanical aspects of human ambulation and biomechanics, which are typically applied to simultaneously evaluate constructed system performance and human interactions therewith. Mr. DeSantis operates and utilizes multiple 3D laser scanning systems to capture precise as-built conditions, which can be processed into 3D models or drawings of building interiors, exteriors, and entire site conditions typically used for visual aids, precise measurements, and cost estimates.
