Chris Hollis is a Forensic Engineer with Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company. Based in
Huntsville, Alabama, he is an experienced engineer, with more than 40 years in
engineering, design, consulting, and forensic industries.
Mr. Hollis is recognized for his expertise with fuel gas appliances and equipment,
electrical appliances and equipment, and wood-burning and gas fireplace
systems and machine design. Mr. Hollis is also an expert in HVAC system
design and fault analysis, piping and plumbing systems, and commercial and
residential electrical systems. His expertise also includes automotive and heavy
truck mechanical evaluations. Experienced as an ASE technician, Mr. Hollis
brings an added perspective to the investigation of vehicle operation and failure
analysis. He has conducted marine fire causation and marine mechanical failure
examinations.
Mr. Hollis has provided expert witness testimony and litigation support via
depositions and arbitration. He has provided verbal and written technical reports
for equipment and systems failure analysis, fire and explosion investigations, lab
examination and testing, product liability. Mr. Hollis is versed in data and evidence
collection and storage, attention to detail, and general correspondence. Mr. Hollis
also holds a number of design patents.
