Chris Hickman, P.E., is a Forensic Engineering Team Leader with Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company. Based in Oklahoma City, Mr. Hickman has 15 years of engineering experience. Prior to becoming a forensic engineer, he served as a Senior Project Engineer with a forensic engineering firm where he was responsible for investigating, analyzing, and determining the cause and extent of damage to commercial, agricultural, and residential structures and cladding systems. His investigations included, but were not limited to damage caused by straight line winds, tornadoes, hurricanes, hail, seismic forces, construction deficiencies, tree impact, vehicle impact, moisture infiltration, ice damming, weight of snow and/or ice, differential foundation movement, long-term deterioration, and/or fire. Mr. Hickman also worked as a Design Engineer with a building systems firm for almost a decade, where he oversaw the structural design and adequacy of metal building systems. His designs included all primary and secondary framing as well as the lateral and longitudinal bracing systems.
