Brandon Alaniz is Vice President of Construction Litigation at Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company. With more than 28 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Alaniz is a seasoned building consultant specializing in litigation support, appraisals, and complex cost assessments. He is a licensed Unlimited General Contractor in Florida and divides his time between Texas and Florida. Mr. Alaniz is a Certified Property Appraiser and Umpire (CPAU).
Throughout his career, Mr. Alaniz has led or played key roles in numerous high-profile construction consulting projects, including hurricane and earthquake-related assignments in Puerto Rico—most notably involving the historic El San Juan Hotel. He brings deep expertise in building construction, repair, and restoration cost analysis, serving clients in both the insurance and legal sectors. His experience includes cost estimating, construction defect analysis, and evaluating contractor performance relative to standard of care.
Mr. Alaniz has received multiple accolades for his contributions, including Haag’s Outstanding Leadership and Mentorship Award and several Project of the Year honors. Prior to joining Haag, he held leadership positions with Manhattan Construction Company, Braswell Company, Stephenson Consulting, and David Weekley Homes, where he gained extensive field experience managing commercial and residential projects.
