Blake Shatto, P.E., is a Forensic Engineer for Haag Engineering Co. based in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Shatto has more than 20 years of working experience in construction related industries. He has more than five years of forensic engineering experience assessing residential and commercial buildings, performing site investigations, writing technical reports, and providing expert testimony. His primary areas of consulting include roofing system evaluations, structural and interior evaluations, and general construction assessments. Mr. Shatto has eight years of construction management experience on projects ranging from historical building renovations to new construction of 30+ story high-rise buildings, and seven years of demolition experience operating heavy and light equipment, and skilled labor use.
Mr. Shatto earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Cum Laude, from Florida State University. He is a Level 1 Certified Thermographer and a Haag Certified Inspector (Residential & Commercial Roofs, Wind Damage). He has previously held certifications in Asbestos Abatement Project Management, LEED Green Associate, and Construction Quality Management (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and Phi Theta Kapp Associate-College Honor Society. He successfully completed OSHA 10-Hour Training and the Florida Class-A General Contractors Exam.
