William (Bill) Ashman, P.E., is an Forensic Engineer for Haag Engineering Co. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Mr. Ashman is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Utah. He has 5 years of engineering experience in design and forensic engineering. His forensic work includes assessing wood and steel structures and on-site data collection for forensic assessments. He developed proprietary calculation sheets for catenary cable loading on novel projects. Mr. Ashman designed steel, concrete, and masonry structures, including a gravity steel design of airport terminal structures up to 200,000 square feet. He has worked with CAD technicians to develop structural drawings using CAD and BIM software, collaborated with cross-function teams to conceptualize and refine building parameters, and verified construction documents to meet client and building official requirements. Mr. Ashman also worked as a wind tunnel consultant at Clemson University, operating testing facility and equipment to collect pressure data.
He constructed scale model of proposed buildings and calibrated and maintained sensitive pressure transducer equipment.
