Alex DeGroot, P.E., is an Forensic Engineer for Haag Engineering Co. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Mr. DeGroot is a licensed professional engineer with seven years’ experience. He previously worked as a structural engineer designing wood, steel, masonry, CFS, FRP and reinforced concrete structures. He performed site visits to verify existing conditions, identified causes of problems, and provided engineered solutions. He coordinated with clients, steel fabricators/erectors, and general contractors to promote positive relations by identifying potential issues and implementing cost effective solutions, and developed solutions for atypical field issues with multiple constraints and limitations. Mr. DeGroot serves Haag’s client base in the Carolinas and beyond.
