Adam Coon, P.E., is a Forensic Engineer for Haag, a Salas O’Brien Company. Based near Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mr. Coon graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Florida with more than 11 years of engineering experience.
Mr. Coon has been a Haag Engineering since 2020. With Haag, he has inspected and assessed damage to hundreds of structures. His primary areas of consulting are structural evaluations, building envelope evaluations (roofing, glazing, and waterproofing), general civil engineering evaluations, moisture source evaluations, and flood evaluations. Prior to Haag, he inspected new, existing, and under construction buildings to ensure code compliance, adherence to best practices, adherence to the construction contract, adherence to the construction schedule, reviewed and disputed change orders, and to ensure the quality of workmanship. Additionally, he has inspected residential and commercial properties to assess serviceability issues and evaluated glazing, roofing, and waterproofing systems for proper installation, repair, and assisted with construction defect claims by evaluating claims, assessing the quality of the claims, and estimating costs to correct the issue and address any resultant damages related to the claims.
